About the Role
Are you someone who takes pride in keeping your community clean and safe? We're looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our street cleaning team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public spaces across the area. A valid UK driving licence is essential, as you'll be operating council vehicles and travelling between designated routes.
Key Responsibilities
Cleansing:
1. Emptying street litterbins and collecting debris / litter on foot or in a vehicle
2. Cleaning public lavatories and other public buildings
3. Sweeping the footpaths and channels as necessary
4. Clearing the beaches of litter and detritus.
Grounds Maintenance:
5. Grass cutting and strimming.
6. Hedge pruning.
7. Digging, bedding and planting.
8. Hoeing and weeding.
9. Watering
10. Using mechanical plant, equipment and vehicles to assist teams throughout the District as directed, achieving StreetScene standards and objectives.
