Project Health & Safety Manager
* Somerset | Fixed Term Contract to January 2027
* Up to £55,000 + Accommodation Support + Benefits

We're supporting a multi-site food manufacturing group with the appointment of a Project Health & Safety Manager for a major site-based programme in Somerset.
This is a fixed-term contract running through to January 2027, offering stability and the opportunity to play a key role in a significant commissioning and site development project.
The Opportunity
This is not a maintenance H&S role.
You'll be embedded in a large-scale commissioning project, ensuring safe delivery across a complex and potentially hazardous manufacturing environment. The position will require strong on-site presence and confident stakeholder management across engineering, operations and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead H&S strategy and delivery across a major commissioning programme
* Ensure full compliance with
CDM regulations
* Review and approve
RAMS
* Conduct site risk assessments and contractor audits
* Partner closely with Project Managers and Engineering teams
* Drive behavioural safety and ensure safe systems of work
* Maintain legal compliance within a fast-paced FMCG environment
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in
complex or hazardous environments
(FMCG manufacturing highly desirable)
* Strong background in
large-scale commissioning or capital projects
* Demonstrable experience working with
CDM regulations and RAMS
* Project Management exposure within manufacturing environments
* Confident communicator able to challenge and influence at all levels
* Able to commit to a predominantly site-based role
