We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work within a supportive SEMH environment. This specialist PRU (pupil referral unit) helps young people at risk of, or who have experienced, permanent exclusion from mainstream education, providing a structured and supportive approach to re-engage them in learning. Working in a student-centred, collaborative environment, you will help pupils rebuild confidence, develop emotional resilience, and make meaningful personal and academic progress. What you’ll be doing: Supporting students with special educational needs (SEND), including SEMH and behavioural needs Working 1:1 or in small groups to build confidence and engagement Helping to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management Encouraging students’ emotional wellbeing and personal development What we’re looking for: Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar) A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs Strong communication and teamwork skills Why join Leader Education?
