Responsibilities:
As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming dining experience! Your duties will include:
Assisting the Cook Supervisor in food preparation and service
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
Serving meals and ensuring tables are left tidy after service
Participating in the transportation of meals as required
Supporting the setup and breakdown of dining areas
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Knowledge of food preparation and service techniques
Understanding of health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Strong teamwork and customer service skills
Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is preferred
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Basic food hygiene certification
Experience working in a local government or community-oriented setting
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and maintenance
Technologies:
Basic kitchen equipment and utensils
Health and safety compliance tools
