An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to provide active care and treatment for people living with Lymphoedema and Lipoedema. Within this role you will also have the chance to develop new knowledge and skills and will be ideal for someone who is looking to advance their career to a specialist level.
The post holder will be primarily responsible for providing clinical advice and treatments for people living with mild and moderate lymphoedema in the community setting, predominantly in a clinic setting. You will work alongside the Lymphoedema CNS’s who oversee the service within the Dundee and Angus area.
You will hold a first level degree in Nursing and have or (commit to undertaking) a qualification in Lymphoedema Management. You will be an advocate for adopting an enabling approach and will be well versed in the principles of self management to support people to live well with their condition.
The ability to work autonomously, travel independently and manage a caseload is essential. Excellent communication and team working skills are required as the post-holder will need to liaise with patients and members of the multi-disciplinary team, including Community Nurses, Consultants, GPs, other Healthcare Professionals and the public.
There is an expectation that any applicant will be willing to undertake the Graduate Diploma in Lymphoedema Management at University of Glasgow with starts in September 2025.
You will be supported to develop skills and competencies which will allow you to operate as an autonomous practitioner with limited supervision of your clinical work.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
