The Role
Our client is recruiting for an experienced Client Relationship Manager to join their established advisory team.
This role involves managing and servicing a portfolio of existing clients, delivering financial planning support through both virtual and face-to-face meetings. You will play a key role in supporting clients with ongoing financial advice, carrying out research and analysis, and ensuring all advice is delivered efficiently and in line with regulatory standards.
Duties will include:
10. Managing and servicing a portfolio of existing clients
11. Conducting regular client review meetings both remotely and face-to-face
12. Assessing clients’ financial circumstances, objectives, attitude to risk and capacity for loss
13. Reviewing and evaluating existing financial arrangements
14. Carrying out financial research, due diligence and analysis
15. Completing calculations relating to pensions, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and income tax
16. Reviewing provider illustrations, applications and fund information
17. Identifying opportunities for new business and cross-referrals across the wider group
18. Overseeing post-review actions delegated to the support team
19. Monitoring client fee arrangements
20. Maintaining regular communication with clients through to completion of actions
21. Responding to ad-hoc client servicing requests
22. Maintaining accurate client records using the internal back-office system
23. Liaising with clients and third-party providers as required
24. Supporting advisers with new client enquiries when required
25. Preparing suitability reports across a range of financial planning areas
26. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business
27. Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and continuing professional development
The successful candidate:
28. Minimum 5 years’ experience within Financial Services
29. Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
30. Previous experience within senior administration or paraplanning roles
31. Diploma qualified (or equivalent)
32. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
33. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
34. Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
Desirable:
35. Experience working with private wealth clients, corporate clients or trusts
36. Experience dealing directly with clients in face-to-face or virtual meetings
37. Working towards Chartered status
38. Experience working in a collaborative team environment
