An opportunity to step into a highly influential Head of Human Resources role within a large, values-driven care sector organisation operating in a complex, people-intensive environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced HR leader who thrives in pace, scale and complexity, someone who can balance compassion with rigour, and strategy with delivery.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the HR Director, you will play a critical role in leading and strengthening the HR function.
You’ll provide senior leadership across regional HR teams and specialist centres of expertise, ensuring the organisation remains compliant, well-governed and people-focused during a period of continued change.
With high-volume employee relations, union engagement and workforce change activity, this role requires a confident, credible HR leader who can operate comfortably at both strategic and operational levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a large, multi-layered HR function, including:
* Regional HR Advisors
* HR Compliance, Contracts and Onboarding teams
* TUPE specialists managing complex transfers in and out
* Sponsorship and workforce compliance specialists
* Provide oversight and assurance across high-volume, complex Employee Relations activity
* Act as a trusted HR partner to senior operational leaders within a regulated environment
* Own HR governance, compliance frameworks, contracts and policies
* Lead and support HR system change and transformation projects, embedding new processes and ways of working
* Ensure HR practice aligns to organisational values while supporting operational pace and delivery
About You
You’ll be a resilient, experienced HR leader with a strong track record in large, people-centric organisations. You will bring:
* Experience operating at Head of HR / Senior HR Leadership level
* Background within care, health, social care or similarly regulated, unionised environments
* Proven capability managing large HR teams
* Strong technical knowledge across:
* Employment law and HR compliance
* High-volume ER case management
* TUPE (inbound and outbound)
* Sponsorship and right-to-work compliance
* Experience delivering HR system implementations or large-scale change programmes
* A calm, values-led leadership style, with the confidence to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
