Software Engineer Opportunities at Lockheed Martin in Gloucester
We have exciting opportunities at our Gloucester site for Software Engineers with current DV Clearance, primarily working on Defence, Cyber, and Intelligence programmes. Your responsibilities may include:
1. Planning, conducting, and coordinating software development activities.
2. Designing and developing tests to debug software.
3. Working with customer requirements to develop business/mission applications, following standards, processes, and tools throughout the development lifecycle.
4. Correcting program errors.
5. Preparing operating instructions.
6. Documenting program development.
7. Analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data, programming techniques, and controls.
As a Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge DevSecOps software systems and applications, driving innovation and safeguarding digital infrastructures in the UK.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proficiency in Java and other languages such as Python.
* Experience developing on Linux.
* Understanding of mocking and unit testing frameworks like JUnit 5.x (Jupiter).
* Experience with Git version control.
* Knowledge of Agile Development using SCRUM.
* Experience mentoring junior team members.
* Experience with Oracle/Relational Databases and/or MongoDB.
* Experience with GitLab CI/CD Pipelines.
* Knowledge of Apache NiFi.
* Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript & React.
* Experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana.
* Knowledge of Hibernate.
* Proficiency with Atlassian Suite (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications or Certifications:
* Experience with JSF (Primefaces).
