Buyer – Nottinghamshire

Chase & Holland have today been engaged by an exceptional Nottinghamshire based business, and are excited to be partnering the business to recruit a Buyer into the growing and developing team.
This role is coming about owing to growth and an increase in R&D leading to some exciting plans for the future. The business is extremely well regarded as a leader in it's chosen field, and is a long and very well estblished name.

As the Buyer, you will be responsible for:

• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers in the UK and overseas to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Procurement: Source and purchase engineering materials, components, and services in line with company policies.
• Negotiation: Negotiate, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure supply chain efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure all purchased materials and components meet the required specifications and standards.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new suppliers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier performance.
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics.
• Working knowledge of Sage 200
• Personal Attributes:
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working
