We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D Tax Relief Finance Delivery Manager to play a pivotal role in one of our key R&D Delivery teams which provide exceptional R&D tax relief services to our SME and RDEC clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of R&D tax relief legislation, strong financial acumen, and proven leadership skills. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely delivery of R&D tax claims, while maintaining strong client relationships and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Client Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing the end-to-end R&D tax relief claim process from initial consultation to final submission. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
* Team Leadership & Development:
Be an integral part of a team of R&D tax consultants and analysts. Provide guidance on complex claims, review work for accuracy, and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
* Claim Delivery & Quality Assurance:
Oversee the preparation and submission of R&D tax relief claims, ensuring all claims are compliant with HMRC guidelines. Conduct rigorous quality checks on financial data, technical reports, and supporting documentation.
* Technical Expertise:
Stay up-to-date with the latest R&D tax legislation, including the RDEC and SME schemes. Provide expert advice to clients and internal teams on eligibility criteria, claim methodologies, and potential risks.
* Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with the sales and marketing teams. Participate in client meetings, present proposals, and contribute to the growth of the R&D tax practice.
* Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to internal processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the R&D tax relief delivery function.
* Risk Management:
Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with R&D tax claims. Assist clients in preparing for and responding to HMRC inquiries or audits
