Employee Relations & Policy Advisor- Arla Foods UK- Leeds Fixed Term Contract until May 2027 Are you a passionate HR professional who thrives on complex Employee Relations and wants to grow as a specialist knowledge expert in a fast-paced, global organisation? In this role, youll be our go-to advisor for Employee Relations (ER) and UK employment policy - solving complex cases, harmonising policies, and building people-manager capability across the business. How you will make an impact You will deliver expert ER case management advice across UK employment legislation and practice, track and analyse ER case data to reduce recurring issues, and own UK HR policies and employment contracts. Youll manage ACAS and Employment Tribunal caseloads, support policy harmonisation from stakeholder engagement to implementation, and increase people management capability with coaching, training and resources. Youll also support ER aspects of HR and business change to ensure legal and policy compliance. Provide robust ER case management advice on complex UK employment matters to stakeholders Track ER case data, assess risks, and drive proactive interventions to reduce recurring issues Manage ACAS and Employment Tribunal caseloads; support sites with bundles and updates to Head of ER Lead on UK HR policies and employment contracts; ensure timely reviews and an up-to-date UK policy portal Coach and upskill line managers on UK employment matters and collective agreements; deliver training and support materials This role sits within the UK HR function and reports to the Head of Employee Relations. What will make you successful You will ideally bring CIPD qualifications (Level 5 or higher preferred) and a proven track record of managing complex ER cases. You combine strong customer focus with the ability to work at pace, deliver pragmatic and commercially sound advice, and operate confidently in a hybrid environment. Solid MS Office skills and familiarity with HR systems are also essential. Experience in unionised environments is an advantage (but not essential), as is exposure to FMCG or global matrix organisations. You will be a resilient problem-solver who remains calm under pressure and is solution-oriented. You will also be an influential relationship-builder who can push back appropriately and secure stakeholder buy-in, alongside being a clear communicator with excellent written and verbal skills across all levels, from SLT to frontline colleagues.
