Our client is global manufacturer specialising in a world-leading industrial brand worldwide. We are now recruiting for a Senior Export Team Leader to join the team at their location in Perth.
This is a hands-on team leader role, and the successful candidate will be working alongside your team of 3, on the day to day export and imports tasks on a daily basis. You will manage customer services and logistics for worldwide sales and distribution of the company products worldwide
Providing effective and efficient customs compliance of export operations, dealing with customs and other government border agencies whilst leading from the front the Customer service and export team
You will appoint forwarders contracts. Arrange export certification and commissions. Dealing with customs and customs procedures globally
Handling recruiting, motivating, developing, and appraising performance of all team members, to ensure their individual potential and contribution to the department are optimized to mutual benefit.
Creating a team environment by allowing individual and group contribution to decision making goal setting and company objectives whilst providing strong leadership both internally and externally to ensure colleagues and customers have confidence in the customer export team.
Manage the provision of training for internal staff to ensure the highest quality and skill level to enhance the customer service provision and maintain customs compliance.
We require a professional with previous success supervising a small Exports with some Imports team who is firm, fair and consistent with their team with a strong passion for continuous improvement and efficiencies.
A process and regulation minded individual with the ability to work closely and harmoniously with other teams. Excellent communication skills required.
In order to apply you will have
Managed or led a small export team from a Manufacturing / Freight forwarding / Logistics background
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrate strong commercial understanding in decision making.
Focus on continuous improvement.
Experience in customs and compliance.
IT knowledge including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
