Finance Assistant
Stradishall, Cambridge
£25,000 - £30,000
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity with a leading chemical manufacturing company for an experienced Finance Assistant.
Role Overview:
As a finance assistant you will play a crucial role in the accounts team which is due to grow and develop with the business growth plans. This position is a fantastic opportunity for an existing finance assistant to progress their career.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Primary responsibility for the Accounts Payable function.Processing supplier invoices, seeking approvals where required.Accounting for VAT correctly.Prepare weekly payment runs.Carry out supplier statement reconciliations.
2. Monthly analysis of company credit cards and staff expenses.
3. Primary responsibility for the Accounts Receivable function.Work with colleagues and customers to ensure prompt payment of invoices.
4. Assist Management Accountant in with monthly accounts preparation.
5. Assist with Payroll preparation.
6. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills:
7. Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
8. Prior experience using accountancy software, preferably Xero.
9. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel.
10. Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
11. Thoroughness and attention to detail are a must.
12. Ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines.
13. Ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
14. 2-3 years’ experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
15. Proficient with Xero.
Experience:
16. This role is office based at their office in Stradishall and is a full time role (40 hours per week) with some flexibility around the core hours.
Salary
17. 25,000 - £30,000
