Care Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care (Epilepsy & Complex Needs)
Location: Much Hadham, Hertfordshire
Pay: £25,943 - £27,564 per annum (£13.30 - £14.14 per hour)
Hours: Full-time & Part-time available
Shifts: Early (7:00am–2:30pm) | Late (2:15pm–9:45pm) | Alternate Weekends

About the Care Support Worker role
As a Care Support Worker in our Children’s Homes, you will support children aged 5–19 with epilepsy and complex medical and developmental needs.
You do not need previous care experience — full training is provided.
Key responsibilities
5. Providing person-centred care and support
6. Supporting children with personal care, wellbeing and daily routines
7. Encouraging participation in education, play, therapy and community activities
8. Supporting activities such as swimming, baking, shopping and outings
9. Recording care notes and progress in line with safeguarding standards
10. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team including nurses, therapists and teachers
11. Following care plans and behaviour support strategies
What we’re looking for
12. Kind, patient and compassionate individuals
13. Reliable and calm, especially in challenging situations
14. Good communication skills
15. Willingness to work early, late and weekend shifts
16. Experience in care, epilepsy or complex needs is welcome but not essential
Training & development
