 
        
        An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to appoint an experienced and outstanding SENCo to be the lead of our SEN Department.
Responsibilities
 * To be operational lead on SEND matters across the school.
 * Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and coordination of specific provision to support individual students with SEND or a disability.
 * Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies.
Qualifications and Expectations
You will be a Qualified Teacher who also holds the National Award for SEN Co‑ordination.
You will also be expected to fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.
About the SEN Department
The SEND department comprises an Assistant SENCO and a small number of Learning Support Assistants.
It works across both the Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks campuses to support all students to achieve their potential.
There are SEND Hubs on both campuses, each with a sensory space where students can self‑regulate and calm.
About the School
We are undergoing a period of transformational change benefitting from a multi‑million pound investment in Tunbridge Wells and a brand new building at our Sevenoaks campus, which opened in September 2021.
In September 2025 Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys will be one of the largest boys Grammar schools in the country.
