This role plays a key part in maintaining strong financial controls, supporting audits, and providing insights that enable informed business decisions. Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Maintain general ledger accuracy through timely posting of journals, accruals, and prepayments. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring the integrity of financial data. Support consolidation and reporting to group finance, ensuring deadlines are met. Assist with preparation of statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP / IFRS. Compliance & Controls Maintain strong internal controls over financial transactions, project costs, and stock movements. Support external and internal audits, preparing required documentation and reconciliations. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, tax requirements, and financial governance standards. Support external and internal audit processes, preparing required schedules and explanations. Operational Finance Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Review and post payroll journals, expense claims, and intercompany transactions. Monitor cash flow, prepare bank reconciliations, and assist with cash forecasting. Business Support Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and cost analysis. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Minimum Requirements ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent). Minimum 3-5 years' post-qualification experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or project-based environment. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and familiarity with IFRS. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Advanced Excel and analytical skills. Previous experience in a multi-entity or international environment desirable.
