A forward-thinking secondary school in Telford is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join its Creative Arts Department. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about developing students’ musical ability and confidence. The Role The successful candidate will: Deliver engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 available depending on experience). Teach performance, composition, and music theory in line with the national curriculum and exam specifications. Prepare students for GCSE and/or A-Level Music where applicable. Lead or support extracurricular ensembles such as choir, band, or instrumental groups. Organise and contribute to school concerts and performances. Monitor and assess student progress effectively. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach both practical and theoretical elements of Music. Ability to play at least one instrument to a high standard (multiple instruments advantageous). Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
