Role Summary
The Speech and Language Therapist will work within the Bankside College independent specialist day school, supporting children and young people aged 16‑24 with developmental trauma, neuro‑divergence, or SEMH needs. The role involves delivering bespoke assessment and intervention, holding a caseload, working collaboratively with the education team, and contributing to staff training and consultation in line with OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working.
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils.
* Hold a Speech and Language Therapy caseload with full support from a clinical supervisor and site lead.
* Work collaboratively with the education team to support pupil learning and development.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Uphold safeguarding and promote the welfare of pupils, ensuring a child‑centred, empowering approach.
* Participate in regular forums for peer reflection and professional development.
Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
* Full valid UK driving licence with access to a car.
* Strong relationship‑building, analytical and judgemental skills.
* Willingness to attend training and work towards further qualifications relevant to the client group.
* Experience working with neuro‑divergent or trauma‑informed pupils is highly desirable.

Location: Bankside College, Worcestershire, WR8 0AD
Hours: 15 hours per week, flexible selection of two days
Contract: Permanent (term‑time only or full‑time contract flexibility available)
