Clinical Nurse Lead

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust provides a highly specialist service for adults with Mental Health conditions and/or a Learning Disability.
We are seeking a experienced, dynamic and compassionate Clinical Nurse Lead to join out team on Beckfield, Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Hopewood Park in Sunderland.
Beckfield is a trust wide service. We provide intensive assessment, treatment and support for individuals in mental health crisis.
Main duties of the job
* Work within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within an Inpatient setting.
* Play a key role in delivering trauma informed, recovery focused approach to care and treatment planning.
* Embed practices that reduce restrictive interventions.
* Act as an identified deputy in the absence of the Ward Manager.
* Facilitate and coordinate clinical practice, ensuring high standards of evidence based care and treatment.
* Be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.
* Lead on the implementation of all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.
* Develop and where appropriate deliver training packages to enhance the knowledge and skills of the workforce and students.
* Facilitate staff appraisals and Clinical Supervision and support personal development plans.
* Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification
* ENB 998 / P126/127 or equivalent.
* Qualification to Degree level
* Management Qualification

* Post registration clinical experience
* Clinical Supervision

* Safeguarding
* 12 to 24 month band 5 qualified nurse experience dependent upon service need.
