Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electronic Assembly Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics and manufacturing, with the ability to work with various tools and technologies. As an Electronic Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components and systems, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the process.
Focused on the manufacture and supply of ultrasonic anemometer and weather station products to the meteorological and commercial weather measurement markets, Gill Instruments, Electronic Assembly Operators play a key role in the manufacture of products to high quality standards using hand tools and assembly jigs.
A correct aptitude, willing to undergo training and a positive can-do approach is necessary.
Typical working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 3.45pm and Friday 7.00am to 11.30am. This position is fixed term for Maternity Cover up to 9 months.
Duties
* Testing to specified test parameters
* Recording build / test information on works orders / lot cards
* Rejecting and recording nonconforming product
* Quality inspection of own work
* Maintenance of bench stock items
* Maintenance and inspection of bench top tools and manufacturing aids
* Use of in-house PC systems
* Working to standard construction or build times

Additional Advantageous Experience
* Previous soldering and wiring experience
* Previous electromechanical assembly from works instructions

* Conformance to ISO9001 including, but not limited to, ATEX and CSA procedures
