Merchiston Castle School is seeking to appoint an inspirational Director of Music.
As Scotland’s only independent boarding school for boys, Merchiston’s genuine focus is on the needs of each pupil and understanding how to help him thrive. With the support of our caring community, each boy is encouraged to unearth his talents, pursue excellence and flourish in myriad ways.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in shaping Music provision at Merchiston, in both academic and co-curricular spheres. The successful candidate will have a proven record of successful teaching practices, developing choral and band performances, and tailoring programmes to pupils’ needs. They will demonstrate commitment to safeguarding children and young people, excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for education.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
