CNC Setter required to join our clients manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading technologies, supporting high-speed 5-axis machining of automotive components in a fast-paced production environment. Available is a competitive salary of over GBP 40K and good working hours and holiday provision. Work Hours: 37.5 hours on double days.
Responsibilities
* Support daily production and resolve machining issues
* Set and optimise CNC machines for performance and quality
* Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
* Monitor part quality and adjust offsets to maintain capability
* Proof out new CNC programs, settings, tooling, and fixtures
* Drive TPM and 5S initiatives across the shop floor
Essential Requirements
* Apprentice trained or formally qualified in CNC machining
* Proven experience setting CNC machines in a production environment
* Strong experience with 5-axis machining (aluminium preferred)
* Experience with Machining Centres / Milling Machines
* Knowledge of G and M code programming (Siemens controllers advantageous)
Desirable Skills
* ABB robot operation/programming
* Hydraulic clamping
* Knowledge of straightening processes
* Experience implementing 5S / lean manufacturing
Current recent experience: CNC Technician, CNC machinist, CNC Setter, CNC Miller, CNC Machining Centre.
