Overview
Applications are invited from suitably experienced and qualified Clinical Engineers for the post of Head of Clinical Technology located in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

Responsibilities
* Provide professional and strategic leadership of Assistive Technology, including Wheelchair Services alongside Orthotics and Prosthetics and Clinical Engineering services in the NHS Highland area as well as the Western Isles and western areas of Grampian.
* Manage the department, which includes approximately 30 staff and trainees.
* Act as a key point of consultation for the board's Research, Development and Innovation division and have a leadership role in the board for aspects of medical devices.
* Supervise the trainee clinical engineers as part of the Scottish Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Training Scheme.
* Demonstrate highly developed communications, management and influencing skills, combining clinical, technical and financial competencies.
* Possess an appropriate level of experience working directly with patients in the NHS in relevant services.
* Hold a full valid driving licence.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience and qualification as a Clinical Engineer.
* Ability to provide professional and strategic leadership in the specified clinical technology areas.
* Proven experience in NHS settings and direct patient interaction.
Location and relocation
Inverness is a vibrant city with access to outdoor activities in the Scottish Highlands. A relocation package may be available for this post.
