Salary: £44,590 - £48,266 p.a.

Job Purpose
As part of the election team, you will work alongside the Elections Manager to plan, manage and conduct electoral events including Community Council ballots, Local Government, UK and Scottish Parliamentary elections and by-elections, Crofters Commission and Cairngorm National Park Authority elections, Business Improvement District ballots, and referenda. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality and professional electoral services for the Council, meeting all statutory requirements and the electoral performance framework.
This role offers a significant opportunity to transform how elections are delivered in the Highlands. During major elections, the postholder will support the elections manager in managing and coordinating up to 1,000 employees, 300 venues, with budgets exceeding £500,000.

Requirements
* Good first degree, equivalent work experience, or project management qualification
* AEA Certificate and/or Diploma, or willingness to undertake them
* Experience of electoral law and practice, including issues related to election and referendum administration
