We are looking for an experienced Gas Engineer/Plumber/maintenance operative, who can provide specialist gas interventions and preventative advice and support on our LPG gas network. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be reliable, trustworthy, friendly and self-motivated. Responsibilities Role model the company values and behaviours at all times Check on list of jobs assigned at agreed times then carry them out Connect sited caravans, both water, drains and propane gas ( supplied via bottle or underground propane system) Take on any urgent, short-notice jobs without major impact on job schedule and cover call outs if necessary. Examine any reported faults then repair them to a high standard, sourcing any parts required and recording action taken Carry out fault-finding in a mixture of settings. Transporting tools, parts and stock around the park using a utility vehicle Be a friendly face of the company when talking to owners and holidaymakers What we’re looking for: · Interpersonal skills · Fully qualified Gas Safe engineer with LPG · Experienced in gas in both commercial and domestic environments · Undertake heating engineering & plumbing duties including reactive repairs Also Be able to complete other maintenance tasks on a daily basis i.e caravan and lodge repairs like small plumbing and small electric issues and general handyman stuff. This is a requirement for this position due to the nature of our environment and our holiday park setting. · Adhere to manufacturers’ regulations and guidelines when repairing or servicing equipment · Good organisational & planning skills. · Methodical approach with good attention to detail. · Provide information to allow records to be updated · Problem-solving abilities · Team player · Able to work flexible hours, including weekends · Driver with clean licence. Experience & Skills Previous experience in repair and maintenance. Excellent communication skills Skilled handyperson Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised. Self-motivated and organised.
