Our client is seeking a Senior Credit Control Team Leader to oversee a portfolio of accounts across the UK and Europe. This role involves managing a team, ensuring timely debt collection, maintaining accurate ledgers, and supporting overall credit control performance.

Responsibilities
* Lead and support a credit control team, ensuring clear performance expectations and high-quality outputs.
* Manage the day-to-day credit control operations for an assigned portfolio, including chasing outstanding debt and allocating cash accurately.
* Provide first-line escalation support for problem-solving and complex queries.
* Monitor aged debt, identify risks, and support recovery strategies.
* Produce clear monthly reports covering team performance, key issues, and progress against targets.
* Develop and implement credit control processes aligned with business objectives.
* Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and service level expectations.
* Set monthly collection targets and oversee individual and team progress.
* Promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency across the team.
Requirements
* Proven experience in credit control, account management, or financial operations.
* Demonstrable experience managing or leading a team.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
* Experience handling complex customer or account queries.
* Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Insurance sector experience is beneficial but not essential.
