An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Trainee ACP within the Ophthalmology Specialty at Mid Cheshire Hospital & VIN Surgical Centre Northwich.
The post holder will work as a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) while undertaking a 3-year Apprenticeship Master’s programme in Advanced Clinical Practice, anticipated to commence in December 2025. Alongside the master’s programme, you will practice clinically with supervisors and the multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will utilize advanced clinical skills and higher-level, autonomous decision-making skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients within the specialty.
Evidence of experience within the Ophthalmology Specialty is essential, and the applicant must demonstrate evidence of degree-level study.
The role encompasses all aspects of the Ophthalmology Specialty, and support will be provided to become an independent practitioner within Medical Retina, AMD, Diabetic, Glaucoma, Casualty, and Intravitreal injections.
The post holder will develop skills across the four pillars of advanced practice: clinical practice, management and leadership, education, and research.
