Pertemps are delighted to be supporting our esteemed client in the recruitment of a Loading Shovel Operator in Climpy.Job Title: Loading Shovel OperatorLocation : Climpy (ML11)Start Date: ASAPContract Type: Temporary to PermanentSalary : £15.00 per hourOvertime will be available, paid at time and a half/ double timeWork Schedule: Full-Time, 45 hours per week (Monday to Friday)Winter hours: 6am-3.45pmSummer hours: 7am-4.45pmResponsibilities:
* Operate a loading shovel to move, position, and stack track mats within the yard for washing and storage.
* Load and unload track mats safely and efficiently onto/from vehicles and trailers.
* Carry out general yard duties, including keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe.
* Assist with material handling operations as required to support daily yard activities.
* Follow all site safety procedures and instructions when operating plant and working in the yard environment.
Essential Skills:
* Relevant and valid qualification/certification to operate a loading shovel or similar plant.
* Proven ability to operate plant machinery safely within a yard or industrial environment.
* Good awareness of health & safety practices, particularly around moving vehicles and plant.
* Reliable with the ability to commute to the yard using own transport.
* Willingness to carry out general yard duties in addition to operating plant.
