Tendering Engineer/Senior Tendering Engineer (Major Projects)
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to company office & project sites as required)
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Tendering Engineer (Major Projects) to join our clients team. You will support the Major Projects division, delivering high-quality tenders across complex electrical infrastructure projects, including DNO/iDNO contestable works (33kV132kV) and renewable energy balance of plant works (DC/LV up to 132kV).
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage tenders for multiple and major projects on time and within budget
Ensure compliance with HASAWA, NRSWA, C.O.S.H.H. and other legislation
Manage costing, pricing, and quotation preparation
Identify commercial opportunities and report to senior leadership
Develop project programmes using MS Project (desirable)
Conduct post-project financial and delivery reviews
Produce job handover packs and attend handover meetings
Collaborate with teams across the organisation
Represent the company at customer and stakeholder meetings
Attend site surveys when required
Ensure all tenders are submitted accurately and on time
About You
Qualifications:
Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 3 years experience in HV new connections tendering with experience at 132kV
Strong knowledge of HV electrical systems and new connections sector
Experience with Microsoft Project and CAD
Commercial awareness in multi-disciplinary environments
Knowledge of health & safety standards and risk assessment
