We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Legal Assistant to support our Conveyancing and Private Client departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both areas, with a thorough understanding of conveyancing transactions and private client matters. This is an in-office role where you will be working closely with our solicitors to assist in providing exceptional legal services to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Conveyancing Department
Assist in managing a varied caseload of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, including:
1. Sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties.
2. Remortgages and refinancing transactions.
3. Leasehold extensions and enfranchisements.
4. Transfer of equity and declarations of trust.
5. Conduct searches and obtain relevant information for transactions, including land registry searches, title documents, and planning inquiries.
6. Prepare and draft standard legal documents, including contracts, transfers, and lease agreements.
7. Liaise with clients, estate agents, and third parties, ensuring the smooth progression of each transaction.
8. Handle completion formalities and assist with the post-completion process (including filing documents with the Land Registry).
