Our Portsmouth office has an opportunity for an HR Assistant to join the team to cover maternity leave. This will be on a fixed term contract for 18 months.


Key responsibilities

At TC, you’ll be a key member of our team from day one. You’ll get involved in working with Partners and Senior Managers very quickly and given individual responsibility for delivering services to them. You will take full HR administration responsibility for a full region so will have your own offices to look after.

* Managing new starter and leaver processes, updating monthly payroll documentation and checking payslips, monitoring sickness records, managing contractual changes and employee life‑cycle tasks for 500+ staff, database management and supporting the Head of HR and HR Manager with projects.
* Processing contractual and payroll information where speed, accuracy and delivering an excellent service are all critical.


About you

* Previous experience of working in HR or payroll would be advantageous
* Experience of working in an administrative role in a high volume, fast‑paced environment
* Excellent IT skills and great attention to detail
* Hardworking, self‑starter with a strong willingness to learn and grow
* Ability to pick up new concepts quickly and also change priorities quickly
* Confidence with formatting documentation and numbers
* Ability to work independently and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality
* A team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and an efficient and personable communicator

* 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days) – pro rata for contract

Hours

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working on completion of probation.
