This is an exciting Production Manager opportunity an SME in chilled food manufacturing with large growth potential. With the business expanding and moving into a larger facility this year, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact. As Production Manager, you will take full responsibility for ensuring all manufacturing is produced to an extremely high standard. You will plan, organise and oversee daily production activities, ensuring customer requirements are met, quality standards are achieved and the workflow runs smoothly. A key part of the role is leading, coaching and motivating a small team that you will be part of growing in time, and driving a culture of high performance, productivity and accountability.
You will be instrumental in implementing and managing KPIs, improving throughput, reducing waste, enhancing cost control, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards. You will also oversee training, recruitment, equipment upkeep, inventory accuracy and production planning to support the business's continued growth.
Ideal Candidate
3-5 years' experience managing a chilled manufacturing site in the food industry
* Strong leadership abilities with the confidence to manage, coach and develop teams
* Proven track record of hitting production KPIs, maximising productivity and improving performance
* Excellent understanding of food safety, H&S, and compliance requirements
* Strong technical and problem-solving skills with experience in cost control and budget management
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external customers
