We are looking for an enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist (Band 6), for a full‑time (37.5 hours per week) role within Clinical Immunology and Allergy at the Synnovis Analytics HUB laboratory in Blackfriars Bridge. The position is permanent and will receive a Band 6 salary only if the candidate has completed their specialist portfolio; otherwise successful applicants will be paid at Bank 5.
The laboratory operates an extended working day from 08:00 to 19:30, Monday to Friday, across three shifts, with a voluntary shift on Saturdays.
Synnovis offers a high‑throughput, UKAS‑accredited service combined with IBMS accreditation for training. Our remit covers autoimmunity, allergy, monoclonal gammopathies and immunodeficiency testing. The team consists of 25 staff members, including Biomedical Scientists, Clinical Scientists and Medical Laboratory Assistants.
Key responsibilities include delivering analytical testing, maintaining quality standards, mentoring junior staff, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: a few years of Immunology experience, completion of a specialist portfolio (or willingness to obtain one), and a proven track record in a clinical laboratory setting.
