The post holder will be expected to positively promote and develop educational standards within the Service, working to improve clinical practice with bands 2‑6 including newly qualified staff going through Preceptorship and a number of skilled mentors and preceptors within our Mental Health Services. They will be involved in the delivery of clinical education and support assessment of learners in practice, and support the assessment of clinical competence of staff.
Job responsibilities
* Support the Heads of Nursing, Professions and Quality, lead on the educational/learning requirements to support the delivery of the mental healthcare agenda within the division.
* Lead on the required Development programmes.
* Provide effective leadership to staff which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a team, in the achievement of the Trust's objectives and priorities.
* Support the leadership development of teams and deputy team leaders aligned to the trust's leadership strategy.
* Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Trust.
* Establish and maintain productive working relationships and communications with key stakeholders.
* Contribute to relevant internal and external committees and forums and represent the services as required.
* Provide progress reports aligned to measurable project deliverables to the Senior Management team and other key stakeholders.
* Lead on Quality Improvement initiatives.
* Take forward identified learning from investigations to include Patient Safety Learning (PSIRF) actions.
* Support learners to include students and preceptees, co‑facilitate the student forum.
Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Nurse/OT/Social Worker with Professional Registration
* Teaching and Assessing Qualification to include PETALS, PGCE, etc.

Salary: £49,387 to £56,515 a year (based on full time hours)
