Who You Are You are an experienced Building Control Surveyor who has recently, or currently, held a senior position. You have a degree in construction or an equivalent qualification and hold full corporate membership status with a recognized professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB. You are self-motivated, eager to learn and develop new skills, and are a strong team player with a deep sense of responsibility. What the Job Involves You will be responsible for reviewing plans for a wide range of construction projects and conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations. Your role includes providing Building Control advice through various channels and inspecting dangerous structures both during regular hours and as part of an out-of-hours rota. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain accurate records and support the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors. You will also assist the Principal Surveyor and Head of Building Control with additional team duties. Skills Degree in construction or equivalent qualification Full corporate membership with RICS, CABE, or CIOB Minimum of seven years' experience in Building Control Self-motivated and independent Eager to learn and develop skills Strong team player Understanding of Building Regulations objectives and legislation Familiarity with Building Safety Act Collaboration and exceeding role expectations
