Role
This role is full time, temporary work from September to December in the first instance. This post requires flexibility, an excellent work ethic, and a passion for delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Experience in catering or as a barista is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. Our students and staff are at the heart of everything we do. You will need to ensure that this is paramount to everything you do.
Duties and responsibilities
Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a professional and efficient manner
Operate the bar, including serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks responsibly
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained across all catering and bar areas
Handle card transactions accurately
Set up and clear down event or service areas as required
Support the wider team during events, functions, and busy service times
Deliver excellent customer service and responding to customer needs and enquiries
Follow all licensing and health & safety regulations
Support with student events and being a key part to the student experience
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have;
Have good verbal and written communication skills
Have knowledge of food hygiene
Be a team player
Have excellent organisational skills
Basic Food Hygiene (or to be obtained during probation period)
