Salary and Benefits

Up to £53,835 + TLR + excellent benefits. Those Huge Small Victories.

About the Role

Our teachers are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. There are lots of ups and downs, and for some of our young people, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. We call these huge small victories, and although they may seem small on the surface, they add up to make a big difference.

You will be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Your role will involve helping them learn, developing their abilities, and raising their self‑esteem. Resilience and dedication are essential, and the small victories you achieve will be something you’re really proud of.

It can be a tough journey, but the positive steps forward will more than make up for it. As a Teacher at Witherslack Group, you’ll receive full support from in‑house psychologists, teaching assistants, and therapy professionals. Your colleagues are experts, the school environments are well‑resourced, and we will be with you every step of the way to help you build a rewarding teaching career.

One of the best environments in SEND

This new exciting opportunity serves Sandbach and the wider community, placing you at the heart of its development and ensuring every pupil has an outstanding educational experience with individual pupil progress and care at the core of what we offer.

Bring Your Whole‑Self to Work

Our young people come from diverse backgrounds and with different needs – and our workforce reflects that diversity so that we can engage, encourage and inspire them to be themselves. You will be more than an English teacher; you will connect with pupils through:

* Ability to relate the subject to each pupil and build strong relationships with the class
* Your enthusiasm and expertise to build your department
* Previous teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status

If you require adjustments to support you through the recruitment process or in the workplace, we will be there every step of the way.

Safeguarding and Equality

The Witherslack Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its young people. This post requires an enhanced DBS check (cost covered) and an online search. We are an equal opportunities employer welcoming applications from all sections of the community.
