Role – Senior Design Engineer
Location – Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday - Full time hours
Capacity of role – Permanent position
Salary – Up to £50,000 per annum
Our client is a leading manufacturer who is currently seeking an additional to their Design team with an Experienced/Senior design engineer.
Applicants will need to be proficient with 3D and 2D industrial modelling ideally in a senior based position.
Main duties will include but not limit to -
Overseeing design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer specifications
Developing and optimising engineering solutions, including detailed calculations, reports and sketches
Coaching and mentoring junior engineers, fostering their professional development and ensuring alignment and integration of design efforts.
Ensuring all design comply with relevant regulatory standards and internal quality requirements
Participate in quality improvements processes and lean manufacturing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Candidate attributes -
•3D modelling & 2D drawings with Autodesk Inventor
•Mechanical design experience (5+ years ideally)
•Experience designing equipment for fabrication using steel
•Occasional visits to sites for site surveys & client meetings
•Experience in finite element analysis
