We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our vibrant team in North Dorset. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the provision for pupils with special educational needs across the school. Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure high-quality support and outcomes for all pupils. Maintain and develop the schools SEND policy and practice. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support strategies. Provide training and guidance to staff on SEND matters. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it). Proven experience as a SENCO in a primary school setting. A deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation. Excellent communication and leadership skills. A commitment to inclusive education and the wellbeing of every child.
