Job Description
3. Develop and execute a comprehensive internal audit plan to assess operational and financial controls.
4. Lead audit engagements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
5. Identify and evaluate business risks, providing recommendations for mitigation.
6. Prepare detailed audit reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and proposed improvements.
7. Collaborate with departmental heads to implement effective control measures.
8. Monitor and report on the progress of corrective actions taken by the organisation.
9. Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting the transport & distribution industry.
10. Support the development of internal policies and procedures to enhance governance frameworks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Group Internal Audit Manager should have:
11. A professional qualification in accounting or auditing, such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
12. Proven experience in internal audit or financial control roles within a corporate environment.
13. Strong knowledge of governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
14. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
15. Excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively.
16. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
17. Familiarity with the transport & distribution industry is advantageous but not essential.
