A well-established and growing main contractor is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join its team based in Paddock Wood, delivering a range of high-quality projects across the South East.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on programme and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and coordinating the design process across multiple projects
* Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal delivery teams
* Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions
* Identifying and resolving design and buildability issues
* Ensuring design information is issued in line with project programmes
* Supporting operational and commercial teams throughout delivery
* Ensuring compliance with current regulations and technical standards
* Attending design, progress and coordination meetings
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Design Manager within a main contractor environment
* Strong understanding of Design & Build projects
* Experience delivering projects within commercial, education, healthcare, residential or mixed-use sectors
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Strong technical and problem-solving ability
* Relevant construction qualification preferred (HNC/HND/Degree)
