Job Summary
Day Shift Care Assistant – Ribble Court Care Home
Pay: £12.88 per hour
Contract: 38.5 hours, comprised of 3 shifts in week 1 and 4 shifts in week 2 (alternate weekend working), 2 shifts per week (22 hours) or 3 shifts per week (33 hours) available.
Shift times: 8am‑8pm.
This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship or suitable for 20‑hour working restrictions.
About the Care Home
Ribble Court is a 53‑bed home that opened just two years ago. It offers state‑of‑the‑art facilities, including a coffee shop/bistro, hair & nail salon, separate dining and lounge areas, and landscaped gardens, while maintaining the highest standards of care with the latest care planning and nurse‑call technology.
We provide high‑quality specialist/complex nursing care and residential dementia care on separate floors, with a person‑centred focus based on the needs and wishes of the residents at all times.
Responsibilities
* Undertake any necessary training.
* Support residents with personal care and hygiene, eating and daily activities.
* Provide emotional support and companionship.
* Support residents to live an enriched and fulfilled life, focused on their individual hobbies, preferences and abilities.
* Maintain high standards within the care home environment.
* Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure residents' needs are met.
Qualifications and Experience
* Positive outlook and warm personality.
* Demonstrate a genuine interest in working in the health and social care sector; experience is beneficial but not essential.
* Flexibility to work shift patterns according to the needs of our residents.
