Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate specialising in Contested Probate to join a leading litigation team. This role suits an ambitious solicitor with strong technical skills in contentious probate, ready for increased responsibility, or an experienced practitioner seeking a supportive and challenging new opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
\t
* Handling a diverse caseload of contested probate matters, including will challenges, claims under the Inheritance Act 1975, and disputes involving estate administration.
\t
* Providing strategic, sensitive, and confident advice to clients throughout emotionally complex litigation.
\t
* Managing cases from inception through to trial, including mediation and court proceedings.
\t
* Collaborating effectively with Private Client and Dispute Resolution colleagues to deliver comprehensive client services.
\t
* Actively engaging in business development activities to enhance the firm's contested probate practice.
\t
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
\t
* Building strong and lasting client relationships through clear and personalised communication.
Requirements:
\t
* Solicitor with 5-8 years’ PQE specialising in contested probate.
\t
* ACTAPS or STEP membership, or currently pursuing membership, is essential.
\t
* Demonstrable experience in High Court hearings and trials.
\t
* Proven track record in business development and client generation.
\t
* Supervisory experience preferred.
\t
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong academic background (LLB 2:1 or above).
