Salary: £13.25 p/h • 16 Hours p/w • Various shifts available — must be able to work weekends.

Role overview
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Duty Manager will help drive growth within the company-owned Outwood SPAR store. As a member of the Store Manager’s leadership team, you will support leading and motivating a team of colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and contribute to achieving store sales and profitability through the shopfloor initiatives: Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food For Later, Food For Now.
Key responsibilities
* Support the Store Manager to ensure a safe, legal, high-performing store, taking overall responsibility for the store during Duty Manager shifts
* Assist the Store Manager to deliver all store operations, objectives and KPIs
* Manage, coach and support colleagues to develop a motivated and empowered team
* Carry out performance management and absence management as appropriate
* Occasionally open/close the store, ensure colleague safety and stock/cash security during shifts
* Carry out cash reconciliations, voids, refunds and other management tasks for till colleagues
* Be a role model and lead the team to provide an exceptional customer experience
* Identify opportunities to engage with and support the local community
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Duty Manager skills required
* Previous management or supervisor experience within a food retail or similar fast-paced operation
* Committed to achieving and sustaining exceptional customer service standards
* Able to plan, organise and prioritise effectively
* Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels
* Decisive decision-making and appropriate action taking
* Committed to promoting collaborative working
* Enthusiastic, flexible with a positive attitude
* Committed to developing own skills and applying learning to improve performance
