As a member of the FCRM Improvements Portfolio team you will support the Portfolio Management office and the sub‑portfolio’s project and programme work, delivering over £150m of improvements in the next three years. You’ll play a critical role in informing the changes we deliver so that we protect communities and businesses from the devastating impacts of flooding.
Responsibilities
* Start up and inform new projects, ensuring live projects are supported and aligned with portfolio objectives.
* Support project managers, build relationships with the Portfolio Management Office, and improve embedded portfolio management and data practices.
* Act in an incident role (usually virtual) to respond to incidents or provide business continuity during an incident. Full training and additional payment will be provided.
* Attend portfolio governance cycles, providing administrative and organisational support.
* Assist with programme and portfolio level continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Formal project / programme management experience (Agile and Waterfall).
* Highly numerate with strong data gathering, manipulation and interpretation skills; experience with large datasets.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI / Tableau (or similar) is desirable.
* Financial data management and project planning skills are desirable.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills across the business.
* Ability to thrive in uncertainty and develop innovative solutions.

This role is not eligible for Skilled visa sponsorship.
