Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Band 3 Nursing Support Worker to join our dynamic paediatric team, providing high‑quality care to babies, children, and young people. This is a part‑time position, 34.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Works as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care to babies, children or young people with support and supervision provided by a registered health care professional
* Undertakes personal care activities and clinical care duties with minimal support and supervision as delegated by a registered healthcare professional in accordance with the HEIW All Wales Guidelines for Delegation
* Ensures the registered healthcare professional is regularly updated on the patient's/client's condition and progress
* Promotes and maintains a healthy, safe and secure environment for children, young people and their families
* Ensures the working environment is safe and hygienic following infection prevention and control policies and processes
* Contributes to the teaching and supervision of students and junior staff
* Delivers role in accordance with Health Board/Trust Values and Code of Conduct for HCSW's in Wales
Requirements
* Welsh language skills desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; if not meeting Welsh Language requirements, the Health Board offers a variety of learning options and staff support
