About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA / Estimator) to join one of the South East's leading accident repair groups. Based at a modern, manufacturer-approved bodyshop in Shepperton, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that values quality, teamwork, and employee wellbeing.
You will play a key role in assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and ensuring a smooth customer journey from inspection to handover.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately assess vehicle damage and produce detailed repair estimates
Identify required repairs and parts using strong mechanical knowledge
Ensure repairs meet NVQ standards and internal quality controls
Liaise with customers, insurers, and workshop teams professionally
Manage customer handovers efficiently and accurately
Upsell additional services where appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction
Maintain high attention to detail across all assessments
Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator role
ATA or NVQ qualification desirable but not essential
Strong technical and mechanical understanding of vehicle repairs
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced bodyshop environment
