We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our growing washroom facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of our hygiene equipment, washroom systems, and water chillers across a wide range of client sites. You will ensure all products and systems operate at peak efficiency, while adhering to strict health and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly, and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will work directly with clients to provide professional advice and ensure top-quality service at every visit.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence (manual preferred) – essential for regular client site visits (Must be over 25 for insurance purposes with no more than 6 points)
* Valid DBS certificate (or willingness to undergo a DBS check)
* Previous experience in facilities maintenance, plumbing, refrigeration, or electrical work desirable
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Flexibility to travel and occasionally work outside of normal hours when required
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, service, and maintain washroom hygiene equipment and systems, (Water management systems, Hand dryers)
* Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of water chillers, including inspection, cleaning, and repair
* Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
* Diagnose technical issues quickly and deliver effective solutions on-site
* Respond promptly to emergency service calls for both washroom equipment and water chillers
* Provide guidance to clients on best practices for maintaining hygienic and efficient facilities
* Ensure compliance with company and industry health & safety regulations
