Housing Management Worker - Middlesbrough
This is a permanent, part-time role (20 hours per week), working Monday to Wednesday. The salary is £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum pro rata), with great benefits including a Health Cash Plan.
About the role
Join our team in Older Persons Teesside as a Housing Management Worker. You will support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Your responsibilities include providing housing management services, supporting tenants to manage their tenancies and rent accounts, and helping them to live independently.
Typical daily tasks
* Engaging with customers over 55 with support needs to ensure their properties are well-maintained and they are involved in their tenancies.
* Assisting customers with housing benefit claims and ensuring these are reflected in their rent accounts.
* Turning around vacant or void properties within set timescales, which may involve cleaning or painting.
* Carrying out and recording routine safety and compliance checks in buildings and communities.
* Managing administrative tasks such as updating records, ordering supplies, and arranging payments for works.
What you bring
* Experience in property management or compliance and health and safety checks is desirable but not essential.
* A positive, proactive attitude, well-organized, and able to work independently.
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service and helping others.
* The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
* A genuine interest in property and ensuring properties are in the best condition for customers.

Job details
* Working hours: 08:30-16:30 on Monday and Tuesday, 08:30-13:30 on Wednesday.
* Location: Middlesbrough, managing the scheme and occasionally covering other services or attending team meetings.
* Competencies: Ability to use technology for support plans, benefit claims, and tenancy processes.
* Requirements: Vehicle insured for business purposes (mileage paid), Enhanced DBS check (paid for by us).
