Senior Administrative Officer - Pil Primary School

32.5 hours per week
The Governing Body of Pil Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective Senior Administrative Officer to work in our busy office.
The primary responsibility of the role is that of main Receptionist, but it also includes a range of clerical duties. The successful candidate will undertake administrative and clerical tasks such as minute-taking, typing confidential reports, managing lunchtime supervisors, and handling administrative, financial, and organizational processes.
Candidates must:
1. Have strong interpersonal skills
2. Be numerate and well-organized
3. Possess excellent typing and communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team and demonstrate flexibility
4. Be capable of managing complex manual and computerized financial systems and returns
5. Be able to analyze and evaluate data to produce reports and documents
6. Have an in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of the SIMS package, iTrent, and COA financial software is desirable
7. Work efficiently within tight deadlines and solve arising problems
8. Oversee the completion of returns and statutory information
9. Liaise with Education Welfare Officers and others to monitor pupil attendance
10. Be responsible for high-value stocks and sums of cash
11. Understand that protecting children, young people, or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees
12. Undergo an Enhanced DBS check with Children's Barred List
